Playa del Carmen

Intercection of Norte 6th and 5th Avenue: This is where our street meets the main drag, 5th Ave. Looking North down 5th.

Into The Abyss: Here we are with our divemaster "Oscar" from Abyss dive shop. Highly recommend them.

Bourbon Street: Having some drinks with our new found friends on their honeymoon, Pete and Kara, at the bar "Bourbon Street"

John Gray's: One of the many excellent resteraunts we ate at while in Playa.

The Mural Of The Story: This is one of the most unique, and gripping pieces of signage I have ever seen on a hotel.

Swanky Hang Out: The Deseo Lounge / Bar. Here you can have your cocktails on a nice mattress or in the pool / hot tub.

Deseo Bar / Pool: Here is another shot of the pool area.

Drugs and Liquors: This stores sign just killed me. Of course, they had many visitors with advertising like that.

El Oasis: Here we are with Jeff and Becky whom we met at our SCUBA checkout dives before our trip. They happened to be going to Playa at the same time.

Fiesta Siesta: This was a really cool resteraunt / hotel that we had breakfast at. Really good food and pretty place.

This View Will Do: Me on our balcony overlooking the Caribbean.

Sunrise On Balcony: This was one of two days we got up early enough to see the sunrise. It was worth it.

Towel Animals: Each day we came in to find towel animals on our bed. This was on our last day.

Fusion Hotel Bar: The view from our hotel bar / resteraunt was very nice.

Annual Hammock Shot: Each year we take a hammock shot somewhere in the Caribbean. This years entry.

View from Hammock: Took this while lounging in the hammock. Ah, I can see / smell / hear it all now.

Hotel Lunata: This was probably the coolest hotel on 5th. It was certainly the most authentic and detailed.

Martha: One of the most pleasant things about staying at the Fusion Hotel. She took pics for us, kept an eye on drinks getting low, explained the meaning behind my tattoo. She's the best.

Tequila Barrel: One of our favorite hang outs. The service is very good here.

La Parrilla: We had our anniversary dinner here. My Mahi-Mahi was over the top incredible.

La Parrilla: Meagan told them it was our anniversary, and we got a full scale serenade. This was their leader.

 

Tulum

Grand Cenote: This is one of the cave like structures unique to this area that we went snorkeling in.

Watering Hole: This was the structure built over their water supply, a cenote.

Flyin' Mayans: Not sure what these folks are called exactly. But we happened upon their ceremony at the ruins.

Really Flyin' : These guys must have had some Tequila before doing this stunt.

Lunch Break: We stopped at a beach in Tulum for lunch in between our trips to the ruins and cenotes.

Pristine Beach: Tulum had some of the best beaches we saw while in Mexico.

Postcard From Paradise: This shot reminds me of a post card. Or a beach calendar.

Hammock In Paradise: I wanted to hop in this hammock so bad. But it looked so weathered that it would just disentigrate.

 

Puerto Aventuras

Fat Cat Cruise: Here we are with the Fat Cat (catamaran) crew.

Fat Cat Snorkel: This is the beach we anchored off to go snorkeling. Very nice reefs there.

Fat Cat Sail: Took this shot looking up the sail of the ship.

M and M on Fat Cat: Plenty of rum punch = no vomitting.

Me Sitting Up Front: This is the best seat in the house.

Meagan Piloting The Boat: The captain let us take a turn at steering this sucker.

Then I Took The Captains Chair: This is not so hard.

 

Cozumel

***most of our time spent on Cozumel was for diving. We have not gotten our dive pics online yet. Will post some here when we do.
